Are you someone who enjoys working with numbers, thrives on organization, and takes pride in helping businesses succeed? At Klabo, Brown & Co., LLC, we’re looking for a Payroll and Accounting Associate to join our friendly, client-focused team in Aberdeen, SD.

This role is a great fit for someone who’s detail-oriented and dependable, and who values both independence and collaboration. You’ll work with a variety of small to mid-sized businesses across multiple industries, supporting their day-to-day payroll and accounting needs. You’ll also play a key role in helping clients understand their financial data and make informed decisions.

What You’ll Do

  • Process payroll and payroll tax filings for multiple clients

  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports and documentation

  • Provide support during tax season and assist with client tax prep

  • Help clients navigate their financial records and accounting software

  • Contribute to special projects and help improve internal workflows

  • Deliver responsive, friendly service by phone, email, and in person


What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience with payroll and bookkeeping is strongly preferred

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and best practices

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and related tools

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Clear communicator with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Able to work independently and enjoy being part of a team
